AWS Step Functions Local - Distributed Map Support

Hi,

I want to use "AWS Step Functions Local" to test Distributed Map; is that function expected to be supported in the next month or two (July 2023 timeframe)?

If not, are there any other options to use AWS to test Step Functions Distributed Map locally?

Hello,

Currently Distributed Map Mode is not supported for Step Function Local. This is because 'ItemProcessor' is required field while creating the Distributed Map, however, I could confirm that Step Function Local is not yet moved to new schema and therefore, "ItemProcessor" is currently not supported and it might not have any possible workarounds to achieve this.

There is a feature request submitted to the service team regarding the issue. While I am unable to comment on if/when this feature may get released, I request you to keep an eye on our What's New[1] and Blog[2] pages for any new feature announcements.
