LoRaWAN device battery level read

Hi,
I've migrated from opensource LoRaWAN Server (https://github.com/gotthardp/lorawan-server)
to AWS IoT core. Generally everything works quite well, but I didn't find any solution to read battery level of my devices. Previous server used to send periodical DevStatusReq MAC command to end nodes and user was able to read that level from every uplink message. Now in AWS IoT core there's no such field. How can I force sending DevStatusReq command and read battery level?

Yes. It is currently not supported. We've already put this feature in our roadmap. You can expect to see this one at some point next year.

Hi Dawid. This is not currently supported by AWS IoT Core for LoRaWAN.

Hi, we came up to same issue that we need to know battery level of Lora Smoke detectors. Is there any schedule when device status requests message feature will be implemented ?
