WorkMail with Outlook Not Working
0
I am using the current desktop version of Outlook (paid). I add the account and select exchange as the type. Enter my user name and password and the response says it's successful.
When I go to the new account in Outlook it shows a mailbox, but there is only an Inbox and Junk folder. No mail or folders are shown.
If I connect via IMAP all the folders are shown, but I do not have any calendaring just email with that method as expected, but it does prove that the mailbox is populated and authentication is correct.
Hi Robin,
Everything works fine via the web interface, apple mail, and Outlook for iOS. It's only the Mac Outlook desktop app that does not work.
It says it successfully adds the account, but no folder structure or emails populate.
I read your initial question again and missed the part about using the username. For WorkMail only the Webclient uses the Username to log on. All other clients need the email address. I did a quick test and it seems I can create a Exchange profile in Mac Outlook with just the username when providing a server url. This leads to a set-up you described.
There is an easy fix. In the account settings, change the username to the email address and the profile should start working.

Any ideas?
