Problem with records in HostedZone Route53

0

I had a record defined for the domain as follow: mydomain.com as record type A

My client wanted it to be changed and point as CNAME to another Amazon resource: mydomain.com as record type CNAME to www.mydomain.com (as alias).

So I deleted the previous record, and then I tried to create the new one but there was an error: (InvalidChangeBatch 400: RRSet of type CNAME with DNS name mydomain.com. is not permitted as it conflicts with other records with the same DNS name in zone mydomain.com.)

The message is not true! The only other record defined it is SOA record.

How I can solve this problem?

I'm writing here because it is more or less more than 48 hours that I have it deleted.

This is my hosted zone as for now:

Is there a way to check with AWS this problem?

Because I think this is a bug on their side.

The change seems already propagated..

At least on the DNS I'm able to test.

Indeed I know I cannot create a CNAME record for an APEX domain, but anyway I should be able to create it as an alias of another record: for example the www record. is it true? And it is exactly what I'm trying to do.

I'm still unable to create it.. Anyway.. And now 48hrs are certainly gone.

How can I communicate this problem with AWS?

Thank you for your help.
