Hi Team,

I am getting an recommendation from SES to implement this. I have added record in the Rout53 but it's not resolved . Could you please help on us.

SES Issue DMARC

Thanks, Anuj

  • Thanks for the comment, I have below record in the Route 53. _dmarc.example.com TXT "v=DMARC1;p=none;rua=mailto:my_dmarc_report@example.com"

Also added below record in the route 53 "v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all"

Also in this field, I am using only the my domain name without subdomain instead of ses domain. I have gone through above docs but not understandable properly What entries we need to create for this recommendation ?

    Thanks,

  • Which types of setting we need to ses console and route 53 ? Could you pls help me on this step by step?

Hi There

What record did you add to Route53? There are a few things you need to do to get DMARC to work, including setting up SPF, DKIM, or both.

I would recommend setting up a custom MAIL FROM domain which will make it easier to comply with DMARC and improve deliverabuility. Take a look at this blog post: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/messaging-and-targeting/email-authenctication-dmarc-policy/

    Thanks,

  • your spf record needs to have include:amazonses.com. See https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/dg/mail-from.html#mail-from-set
