I got this message a few days ago, went to my account, and tried to validate it. But today I got a new message where it tells me that it could not be validate it and I might loose it. I dont know what to do, dont have an idea. PLease help me what should I do.

You have an SSL/TLS certificate from AWS Certificate Manager in your AWS account that expires on Jun 03, 2024 at 23:59:59 UTC. This certificate includes the primary domain www.modo360democracia.mx and a total of 1 domains.

AWS account ID: 201422476054 AWS Region name: us-east-1 Certificate identifier: arn:aws:acm:us-east-1:201422476054:certificate/98bbf4c1-ac96-43ab-9cc1-de692012f4b0

AWS Certificate Manager (ACM) was unable to renew the certificate automatically using DNS validation. You must take action to ensure that the renewal can be completed before Jun 03, 2024 at 23:59:59 UTC. If the certificate is not renewed and the current certificate expires, your website or application may become unreachable.

To renew this certificate, you must ensure that the proper CNAME records are present in your DNS configuration for each domain listed below. You can find the CNAME records for your domains by expanding your certificate and its domain entries in the ACM console. You can also use the DescribeCertificate command in the ACM API[1] or the describe-certificate operation in the ACM CLI[2] to find a certificate’s CNAME records. For more information, see Automatic Domain Validation Failure in the ACM troubleshooting guide[3]. The following 1 domains require validation: www.modo360democracia.mx

Hello.

This message does not mean that your website data will be deleted.
This message requires updating the SSL certificate issued by ACM.
If you do not update your SSL certificate, you will not be able to communicate via HTTPS.
Basically, SSL certificates issued by ACM are automatically renewed, but some problems may occur and the renewal may fail.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/acm/latest/userguide/dns-renewal-validation.html

In that case, please delete the ACM verification CNAME record from the hosted zone, etc., and then register the CNAME record again and check if it is updated.

  • There is no need to delete the SSL certificate. What you want to delete and re-register is the CNAME record for ACM verification. If you are managing your domain with Route53, you will probably have a CNAME record registered for ACM verification in your hosted zone, so please try deleting it and re-registering it. If the settings were configured correctly in the past, the following CNAME record will be registered. Please try deleting this and registering again. If there is no record, please check the CNAME record from the ACM certificate screen and try registering it. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/acm/latest/userguide/dns-validation.html
