used lifecycle rule to empty bucket, cw show size 0(ish), files still there

1

Hi, I'm confused about how to empty a bucket with lifecycle rules. I followed the advice here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3/latest/dev/delete-or-empty-bucket.html#empty-bucket-lifecycle and CloudWatch shows the bucket going to 0 bytes (or close) after a few days, and the cost explorer and usage reports also show the TimedStorage-ByteHrs (GB-Month) dropping by the size of that bucket, but if I visit the bucket in the web interface all the files are still there, downloadable, etc. I expected it to be empty. It's been a week now, and the big delete happened like 4 days ago...when will the files disappear?

Thanks,
Chris

It looks like they eventually went away, about a week or two after the storage was considered reclaimed. So I'll leave this here for others with the same question.
