Lightsail outgoing data transfer slow

  1. Outgoing data transfer from Lightsail (not to another AWS instance) is slow. It used to be much faster. This is an applications/database server and cloud backup is utilized. This is a 32gb Windows instance so monthly quota is 7TB - doubt if we're exceeding that. Only getting 15-20/Mbps upload/outgoing - I get more than that rate on my home internet. Also RDP file transfers (via copy/paste from RDP session to my computer) slow.
  2. How do I check on how much incoming/outgoing data transfer has occurred for the current billing period? I've read that throttling can occur when that's exceeded.

Hi,

I ran a speed test for a Windows instance in PDX and saw pretty good speeds >200Mb/s.

You should be able to see your usage by going to the billing console: https://us-east-1.console.aws.amazon.com/billing/home?#/bills and expanding the Lightsail service in the bill.
