Amazon Quicksight deployment automation
A customer plans to use both a centrally managed Quicksight account, but also allow freedom for individual account owners to spin up their owner Quicksight instance. They would like to automate some steps of the QS setup, ie: Enable SAML SSO, Attach VPC. Without cloudformation support for QS, is there any other way to automate the initial setup & config of a new QS deployment?

A few thoughts you can create custom resources within CloudFormation that will hit the QuickSight API's. So 1 or more Lambda functions that will create the application resources that dont have CloudFormation support. Another option is writing a python or shell script that you could eventually incorporate into a CI/CD pipeline using CodeBuild to run.
