Usage of new Code Editor / SageMaker Studio in VPC Only / No Internet

0

Hello.

I'm trying to use the new SageMaker Studio Expericiente in an internet-isolated subnet.

I'm having problems launching Jupyter Notebooks in the Code Editor. I get the following message.

Error

This error does not happen when SageMaker has internet access.

Another question. How I'm supposed to use custom images for the Spaces? I only see SageMaker Distribution 1.2 and 1.3. Not CPU nor GPU specific. For my use case, I need s3fs and probably other libraries.

Thanks

  • For Space apps, i.e., JupyterLab, you can create custom images - https://docs.aws.amazon.com/sagemaker/latest/dg/studio-updated-jl-admin-guide-custom-images.html. However, if it's a few libraries, you can also try the Lifecycle Configuration route, that way, you don't have to maintain the custom image and can make use of the latest SM distribution. The CPU/GPU image is picked based on your instance. For CodeEditor not working as expected with no-internet domain, can you create a case with AWS support?
