DNS Zone in lightsail not shown in DNCHECKER

0

Hello,

for the domain EVREEL.COM we have the DNS ZONES with LightSail and there are a few entries in them accordingly. Now the day before yesterday our outbound email started to provide errors, 554 5.7.1 <END-OF-MESSAGE>: End-of-data rejected: SPF Incorrect .

So the mail provided referred us to double check the DNS and we did this. So, TXT, MX all are ok and valid they show up. Everything seems to work fine but CNAME is not willing to show etc. We run a blacklist check and this was also ok. Today again we updated it however we do not see anything happening. How long untill propagation and why are the cname record not showing in the dns checker.

Can somebody advise as we are stuck in here,

The issue you're experiencing with your DNS records for EVREEL.COM, particularly the CNAME records not showing up in DNS checkers, could be due to a few factors:

  1. Propagation Time: DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to fully propagate across the internet. However, with Lightsail's default TTL (Time to Live) of 300 seconds for DNS records, you should typically see changes much sooner.

  2. CNAME Record Configuration: Ensure that your CNAME records are correctly configured in your Lightsail DNS zone. Double-check for any typos or formatting errors.

  3. Lightsail DNS Limitations: Lightsail DNS has some limitations, particularly with records containing underscores. If your CNAME records include underscores, this could be preventing them from being accepted or propagated correctly.

  4. DNS Checker Tool: Some DNS checking tools may not query all record types by default. Make sure you're specifically requesting CNAME records in your DNS lookup.

  5. Conflicting Records: Ensure there are no conflicting records in your DNS zone that could be interfering with the CNAME records.

For your email issue (554 5.7.1 SPF Incorrect), this suggests a problem with your SPF (Sender Policy Framework) record, which is typically a TXT record. If you've recently updated this, allow time for propagation and double-check its syntax.

To troubleshoot:

  1. Verify all DNS records in your Lightsail console.
  2. Use multiple DNS lookup tools to check your records.
  3. If issues persist after 48 hours, consider contacting AWS support.
  4. For critical DNS needs, you might consider using Amazon Route 53 for more advanced DNS management capabilities.

Remember, DNS issues can be complex and may require patience as changes propagate through the system.
