Thank you for your feature request regarding bulk management of synonyms in Amazon Q in QuickSight.
Currently, Amazon Q in QuickSight allows you to add field synonyms and value synonyms through the user interface on an individual basis. For field synonyms, you can add alternative terms by choosing either "Add alternative terms for field" or the "plus sign" option. For value synonyms, you need to navigate to the Data tab, expand the field information, choose "Configure value synonyms" under Value Preview, and then add synonyms for specific values one by one.
The automated data prep for Q does help by automatically labeling fields and identifying some common synonyms. For example, it might rename a field like SLS_PERSON to Sales person and assign synonyms such as salesman, saleswoman, agent, and sales representative. However, as you noted, this still requires manual review and customization, especially for organization-specific terminology or non-English terms.
Your request for bulk upload via CSV and export functionality for synonym configurations would indeed be valuable for managing topics at scale and across multiple languages. This would also help with version control across different environments.
I'll make sure your feedback is captured. Thank you for suggesting these improvements to the Amazon Q in QuickSight experience.
