Rough timeline when db.m6i is supported for Reserved Instance of RDS for Oracle

0

Now, db.m6i.large is also supported RDS for Oracle, but we found that only “db.m5.large” is in Reserved Instance, but NOT “db.m6i.large”.

Just wonder that do we have a rough timeline when db.m6i is supported for Reserved Instance of RDS for Oracle?

Hi George, I believe you want to purchase a reserved instance in db.m6i.large. db.m6i.large is supported on reserved Instances. M6i instances for RDS for Oracle are available today in US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (Oregon), US West (N. California), Europe (Ireland), Europe (Frankfurt), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Asia Pacific (Singapore) regions [1]. I trust the above is helpful. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. Happy to help!

  • Understood db.m6i is supported for RDS for Oracle in April this year. But what is currently missing is the purchase of Reserved Instance of RDS for Oracle.

For instance, in "ap-southeast-1", when I go to "RDS -> Reserved instances -> Purchase Reserved DB Instances", after I selected "oracle-se(byol)", I cannot find any "db.m6i.*" for "DB instance class".

Just wonder that do we have a rough timeline when db.m6i is supported for Reserved Instance of RDS for Oracle?
