Using Typescript CDK For Fargate and API Gateway

Hi

This is not as much of a question but an ask.
I have an ECS cluster setup running fargate.
I want to setup a Rest API using API Gateway as part of my CDK Typescript project.

Can anyone point me at examples for talking to the Fargate services using the RestAPI?
A full cdk example for this would be useful.
After getting this service setup and working, I need to setup Cognito authentication - hence the need for a Rest base API>
I have found samples for the Http API and unfortunately have not been able to adapt the same.

Any guidance on this would be appreciated.

Yes I spotted this source code but it is well out of date.
Usually I would look at code like this and adapt but there seems to be alot of quirky nuances between the Rest API and the Http API in this case
