File gateway connection to AD

Question

I am trying to connect file gateway to my active directory. It keeps on bringing me this error "Active directory settings could not be saved"
And on bottom of page it says
"The domain information in active direcotry settings could not be updated. Please try again"
It keeps on join in progress in status but doesn't connect.
