pip install error

Hi,
I initiated an instance and installed the anaconda repository via wget. But whenever I try to use pip to install a package for example pip install pyart, I get the following error: Command "python setup.py egg_info" failed with error code 1 in /tmp/pip-install-b47pr6si/pyart/. Using amazon linux machine
