Unprivileged root user

1

Suddenly the root user no longer has privileges and we cannot perform any action within the console, not even create a ticket. How can we regain access? We don't have another user with root privileges.

Hi,

I understand you would like to know why suddenly the root user no longer has privileges and cannot perform any action within the console.

My understanding is that this is not a sign-in issue. First, lets start with troubleshooting issues with the root user. If you can't complete tasks when you are signed in as the root user for the account, confirm if your account might be a member of an organization in AWS Organizations. If so, and your organizational administrator used a service control policy (SCP) to limit the permissions of your account, then all users, including the root user, are affected.

I hope this helps. Let me know if I answered your question by up voting my response as accepted or if you have any follow-up.

Kind regards, Ahmed
