Reduce amazon Linux 2 docker size

I am trying to install Java 11 in Amazon Linux 2 docker image and trying to pass it as runtime for codebuild. Locally it has 750 MB after installation of Java 11 and when I upload it to ecr repo it's size is 300 MB. Is there a way to reduce it
