**Please Accept @Shahrukh_K Answer. ** I did not add anything to his answer, just gave it more visibility it while he was posting it correctly.
The only thing I can add to his answer is that the functionality is also been tracked and will be re-introduce in the new console page soon. hope this helps.

You can test your connection by using Legacy pages, follow the below steps.
- Sign in to the AWS Management Console and open the AWS Glue console at https://console.aws.amazon.com/glue/
- In the navigation pane, on the left hand side, under “Legacy pages”, choose Connections (legacy).
- In the Test connection dialog box, select a role or choose Create IAM role to go to the AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) console to create a new role. The role must have permissions on the data store.
- Select the check box next to the desired connection, and then choose Test connection.
- Choose Test connection.
