Can't connect to Lightsail SSH UPSTREAM ERROR 519

0

Hi, I'm a newbie and accident do the wrong permission in SSH, I use this command to give a permission to user (default user in Lightsail instances)

"sudo chown <your username>:<your usergroup> -R <path to>"

But at the "<path to>" I just put only slash "/". After that I get an error "command not permit" and can't access ssh via browser or putty at all.

I try to restart instances, create new instances from snapshot and put a shell script, so it not success. Any advice or help, please.

Hi!

519 is UPSTREAM_NOT_FOUND [519]

There are many possibilities why you see this error, so I suggest to check out this piece of documentation: https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/knowledge-center/lightsail-resolve-ssh-console-errors/

After you check the article above and you do not find the solution please include more delails regarding the problem areas mentioned in the docs so that I will check out further options.

Also if you have tried some solutions in different articles, please include some info about steps taken, so that I do not point you to the direction you have already taken :)
