I have a few questions about how to add or update the billing contact information for my AWS account.

Q: How do I add or update the billing contact information for my AWS account?

To add approved billing contacts to your AWS account, use the Billing and Cost Management console. For more information, see How do I add or update billing contact information?

Q: Can AWS edit billing contact information on my behalf?

No. To maintain the highest level of security, AWS can't edit your billing contact information.

Q: Can I add more than one approved billing contact?

Yes. You can register up to 13 billing contacts.

Q: Can I add a shared email address as a billing contact?

Yes. AWS sends billing notifications to the shared email address. Note that you must send emails to AWS only from a registered email address to receive support. If there's one individual contact who's most likely to share the payment responsibilities, then you can register this individual as an alternate billing contact.

Q: Can billing contacts view or change my AWS account settings?

No. Only AWS account root users or AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) users with certain permissions can view or change your AWS account settings.

Q: If I add billing contacts, do I still receive communications about my account?

Yes. The primary account holders continue to receive all account-related email communications.
