How to change GUI font?

0

Roboto is really thin on my computer, making it nearly impossible to read anything in the Cloud9 GUI. Does it offer a preference to change the default interface font? If not, can that be added? Arial would work, though I prefer serif fonts.

Thank you,
André

Hi André,

Did you try: From the menu AWS Cloud9 >> Preferences Ctrl-,>> User Settings >> EDITORS >> Code Editor (Ace).
If you scroll down a bit you will find the possibility to set your Font Family an d Font Size.

Hope this helps

  • No, this setting changes the font in the editor (ACE). The GUI includes the file menu (File, Edit, etc) and the text in the left-side panel and tab headings. The default interface font also appears very faintly for me on MacOS/Chrome and it is difficult to see.

The solution for changing the GUI font is to change the Theme from Jett to something with different fonts, like Flat:

change theme

Use the zoom feature of your browser. This will increase the size of all Cloud9 components, not only the editor window.

If you use keyboard shortcuts, click on your browser's navigation bar prior to using the keyboard shortcuts to adjust zoom.
