Programatically detach EMR clusters from EMR Studio workspaces

Hello team, is there a way to programmatically attach and detach EMR clusters from a studio workspace? I didnt see an action in the EMR API, seems like it can only be done manually from the workspace UI. My customer needs to be able to detach the cluster as they are shutting down the clusters overnight and then reattaching doesnt work again in the mornings. Thanks!
