Magento with CodeCommit

I have Magento applications deployed on an EC2 instance. I created a repository in CodeCommit (it is empty). I would like to have files from the Magento application in the repository to have version control. How could I do such a thing?

Do you mean you want to save files from EC2 to CodeCommit?
If so, you can save it using the git command by following the steps in the document below.
