The AWS Free Tier provides 750 hours per month of t2.micro or t3.micro instances running Linux, RHEL, or SLES. This is for a 12 month period. To clarify:
- The 750 hours is a monthly limit that resets each month, not an annual limit.
- The hours can be used across multiple instances, as long as the total monthly usage does not exceed 750 hours.
- Usage is counted separately for Linux/RHEL/SLES instances versus Windows instances, so you also get 750 hours for t2.micro or t3.micro Windows instances each month.
- Running multiple instances within the usage limits will not incur any costs during the free tier period

Hi,
750h / month comes from the fact that 31days x 24hours = 744h
Basically, this is given to allow1 EC2 instance permanently up & running so that you can run long-lasting experiments.
Best,
Didier
