CloudWatch Billing alert still shows Insufficient data

Hello! I am trying to set up an alert that triggers when USD expenses are 50 or above. I followed this tutorial to do so https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonCloudWatch/latest/monitoring/monitor_estimated_charges_with_cloudwatch.html and still shows as Insufficient Data even though:

  • I created the alert in US East N. Virginia
  • Enabled CloudWatch billing alerts in Alert preferences under Billing preferences
  • Did the same config provided in the tutorial link So far I created a budget alert but I would like to know why my alert isn't getting any billing data

Sorry to see the trouble with this. There was a similar question's answer, that might help you, here.

If not and the issue still persists, I'd recommend open a case with our Billing team for further assistance. You can do so in our Support Center.
