Where is Git sync cloning the repository?

Question

Hi guys,

I used Git sync feature for AWS CloudFormation to deploy a stack from GitHub, but I'd like to know about the first event that says the following:
**Event:** Clone started
**Event type:** CLONE_STARTED

Where is it getting cloned?

Answer

`CloudFormation` will make a copy of the source files from your Git [repository](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSCloudFormation/latest/UserGuide/git-sync.html)(in your case the github repository) by cloning the repository to get a copy `CLONE_STARTED` says the event started.
