Error when using Amazon Lex chatbot with Amazon Kendra on the AWS Cloud Quick Start Reference Deployment

When using the quick start at the link below, I receive an error message when I use the testing phrase provided in the documentation. What could be causing this error?

Error:

An error has occurred: Invalid Bot Configuration: Amazon Lex could not access your Amazon Kendra index. There is a problem with your configuration. Check the configuration and try your request again.

Hi, thank you for reaching out! This could be a few things. Did you enter your kendra index name correctly? If yes, are you using a custom role, or Service-Linked Role for your bot? Maybe they are missing the permissions necessary for Lex to query your Kendra index.
