AWS Opensearch Serverless Plugins

Question

For the Serverless option of Opensearch, are the plugins going to be added back in the future, or is there another way to add alerting on the logs as currently these are not present on the Serverless version?

As you rightly pointed that currently Opensearch Severless do not support the "Alerting" plugin and unfortunately there is no workaround to apply the alerting on the opensearch severless.

However I would like to inform you that the Alerting feature for the Opensearch Severless is on the roadmap, as you know that any new feature requires the product to undergo rigorous testing and troubleshooting before it is made available, to ensure security and stability for end users. Therefore, I am unable to give you an exact ETA as to when this feature will be available as Premium Support does not have visibility over the development process.
