Help with Amazon SES Dedicated IP without warmup - transactional emails

0

Hello,

I just launched my site recently. So far I am only sending transactional emails. Right now, I send only like 50 emails per day. The problem is that around 20% of them end up in spam. Reason: SES shared ips are on the outlook's spam block list, according to glockapps.com and to my customers feedback who use outlook.

So every client that uses outlook does not get the email. I tried setting up dedicated managed pool, but that does not work since my sending email volume is too low and I will never get out of the warmup phase.

Is there any way I can get a dedicated ip to work, while having this low sending volume, to avoid this problem? I asked support and got the answer that I need to start sending hundres of emails per day, which is not yet possible for me.

What would you do in my situation?

Hi, Hope you are doing well !

Warm-up period is to ensure that a positive reputation is established with ISPs as each IP address needs some time to build a positive reputation. ISPs determine an IP address’s reputation in part based on the quality and the volume of email sent through that IP address. Thus, One of the factors that contributes to the reputation of an IP address is whether the address has a history of sending high-quality email. Email providers are less likely to accept mail from new IP addresses that have little or no history.

Ideally, If you don't plan to send large volumes of email on a regular and predictable basis, SES recommend that you use shared IP addresses. If you want to use dedicated IP addresses in situations where your sending patterns are highly irregular, using Dedicated IPs (managed) is the better option.

Addition, I would like to share that SES actively monitors DNSBLs (Domain Name System blacklist) that could impact delivery across the entire Amazon service, or that could impact the ability to send email to recipients who use major email providers, such as Gmail, Yahoo, AOL and Hotmail. In case if you need further assistance with the issue you are facing you can reach out to AWS technical support team (share the SES sample message IDs) and they should be able to guide you with possible solutions for the issue.

Thank you for clarification. I wasn't even aware of the fact that ISPs are so strict about this. Now it makes sense.
