Good news! AWS now accepts payments in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) for AWS Europe customers. This allows you to pay using your Egyptian local card without incurring foreign exchange costs that would typically be associated with making payments in a foreign currency.
To set up your payment preference in Egyptian Pounds:
- Log in to your AWS account
- Go to the "Billing and Cost Management" page
- Select "Payment Preferences" under "Preferences and Settings" from the left navigation menu
- Click "Edit" to change your default payment preferences
- Select Egyptian Pound (EGP) from the "Payment currency" dropdown menu
- Save your changes
Once you've completed these steps, AWS will generate your future invoices in Egyptian Pounds, making it easier to pay with your local Egyptian card.
For credit card payments, you should be able to add your Egyptian card as a payment method in your AWS account. AWS automatically charges your default payment method at the beginning of each month for the previous month's usage.
If you encounter any issues with setting up your payment method, you can contact AWS Support by creating a case in the Support Center for assistance with billing inquiries and payment issues.

that's true but there is a problem, the payment method must be verified first by charging 1 USD and refunding it, unfortunately my bank doesn't allow that type of transaction, it allows only EGP transactions and now I can't verify my payment method
