modprobe: WARNING: Module eveusb not found in directory /lib/modules/5.15.0-1051-aws

Question

Good afternoon!

I'm experiencing problems with NICE DCV. I installed it on an Ubuntu VM. Initially, it worked well, but when I restarted the VM, it opened with a black screen, showing no image. I checked the logs and found the following problem:

I tried to research eveusb but couldn't find anything that could help. How should I proceed to resolve this?

Hey Paulo, thanks for the question. I think there are a couple things in play here. First is your licensing issue. On AWS, the DCV license is free, but the machine needs access to the s3 bucket where the license resides ([Documentation](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/dcv/latest/adminguide/setting-up-license.html#setting-up-license-ec2)). The other issue I see is the black screen. On linux, more often than not this has to do with the Xorg configuration. For non-GPU instance types, there is some Xorg guidance that can be found [here](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/dcv/latest/adminguide/setting-up-installing-linux-prereq.html#linux-prereq-nongpu). For Nvidia GPU instances, it's best to use [nvidia-xconfig](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/dcv/latest/adminguide/setting-up-installing-linux-prereq.html#linux-prereq-gpu) to create the Xorg file. On virtual session, Xorg will come from the xdcv package.
