AWS Transcribe splices number (dollar values) references

0

We're finding that Amazon Transcribe consistently transcribes money amounts incorrectly. For example, "up to 3000 and $11 per month" in lieu of " up to $3011.00 per month". The latter is presented by Microsoft so the variant is not solely a byproduct of dialect or pronunciation. Has anyone noticed similar artifacts? Does anyone know if there are settings that can correct the splicing that Amazon Transcribe presents?

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out and apologies for the delayed response. I would just like to confirm that we have reached out to the Transcribe service team regarding this behavior.

The service team investigated the issue and has confirmed that this is indeed a bug. They have a fix for this bug that is currently pending deployment.

We will let you know once we have received further updates. Thanks in advance for your patience!
