What to do if I accidentally crossed the free tier but still under $1 ?

0

I'm using AWS account for education purpose but while following an online course on AWS, I accidentally selected t3.micro instead of going for t2.micro while practising Beanstalk environment but as soon as my course video ended I terminated all the services I created during following that video. But till then I used $0.07 (including tax) and crossed the free tier.

Now, I want to know is there any chance that AWS exempt my bill this time as this was done by mistake while selecting the instance type in creating environment in elastic beanstalk and still charges are under $0.1 ?

From https://docs.aws.amazon.com/awsaccountbilling/latest/aboutv2/billing-what-is.html

For questions about your AWS bills or to appeal any of your charges, contact AWS Support to address your inquiries immediately.

In that page, they have some related content and a link: See "Getting help with AWS Billing" at https://docs.aws.amazon.com/awsaccountbilling/latest/aboutv2/billing-get-answers.html

Hi,

Generally you should avoid such situations, you can have a look here:

Said so, I m pretty sure that if you have good reasons, and amount not be exaggerated, that aws support can redeem you credits so that you don’t need to pay by yourself.

Hope it helps ;)
