I am using the Language Selection Policy as "Strict" and Selector Settings as "Audio Language Selection".

To configure a MediaLive channel for multilingual content and display metadata for languages that are not present in the source, you can follow these steps:

  1. Input Configuration:
  • Ensure that your input source contains audio tracks for all the languages you want to support (English, French, German, etc.).
  • Configure your MediaLive input to receive all audio tracks from the source.

2.Language Selection Policy:

  • Set the Language Selection Policy to "Strict" in your MediaLive channel settings. This ensures that only audio tracks with specified language metadata are passed through.
  1. Selector Settings:
  • Configure the Selector Settings for audio language selection to include all the languages you want to support (English, French, German, etc.), even if they are not present in the source.
  • Map each language to the corresponding language code and select the appropriate audio tracks.
  1. Output Configuration:
  • Set up your output to include all the audio tracks selected in the Selector Settings.
  • Ensure that the output format supports multiple audio tracks and metadata display, such as HLS or MPEG-DASH.
  • VLC Playback:

When playing the output stream in VLC or any other media player, the metadata for all selected languages should be displayed, even if the audio tracks are muted due to absence in the source. Users can choose to unmute specific languages based on their preferences.
