Hello, I think that using S3 and utilizing versioning would be a great solution. Some other questions you might want to ask is how often are they accessing the storage, and how many documents they actually want to store. There are different options for S3, such as glacier archives, intelligent tiering etc.. I've linked a document for you to make a more informed decision based on their needs. I would ask them how often are they accessing the data, as well as when they do need to access the data, how quickly do they need it?
