Asterisk can't connect to zoiper

0

I have installed asterisk onto my lightsail server and configured it properly to connect with zoiper (softphone) and made all the changes to PJSIP.conf file but when i try to register to zoiper i got 408 Request Timeout After searching for that and watching asterisk log messages i discovered that the request doesn't arrive to asterisk at all I though it might be a ports problem so i opened the ports required for asterisk like 10000-20000 UPD ports + 5060 UDP and TCP ports from lightsail networking tab and also using iptables Then tried to login again using zoiper but same error 408 Request Timeout and i am wondering what could be the issue then Is AWS LightSail doesn't allow these ports to be opened ? or it might be blocking these kind of UDP requests ?

The ip i installed the server on is: 3.71.52.182

Hello.

I'm not an expert on Asterisk, but "408 Request Timeout" is an error that usually occurs when the request reaches the server but then some kind of problem occurs that prevents the server from processing the request, or when the client takes too long to send the request. Therefore, I think this may also occur if the Lightsail instance has low specs and is unable to process the data.

I think the port number you listed can also be used with Lightsail.

The ports that you can specify in a firewall rule can range from 0 to 65535. When you create a firewall rule to enable a client to establish a connection with your instance, you specify the protocol that will be used (covered earlier in this guide), and the port numbers through which the connection can be established. You can also specify the IP addresses that are allowed to establish a using the protocol and port; this is covered in the next section of this guide.
