AWS quickstart vpc: s3endpoint

I would like to use the quickstart dragen to create all the infrastructure required to run Dragen. Something that is not clear for me as i'm new, is the VPC part of this quickstart that use an other quickstart as a submodule. I would like to be sure that it use a S3 gateway endpoint because the pipeline transfers large files between s3 and the ec2 instance
