Use StorageClass for uploaded files via AWS Greengrass Stream Manager SDK for Python

0

Hi *,

I want to use the AWS Greengrass Stream Manager SDK for Python to upload files to a S3 bucket.

It works quite fine, but now I'm wondering how I can define the Storage Class for the files that should be uploaded. Is there a way to set the header "x-amz-storage-class" or maybe use the user_metadata of the S3ExportTaskDefinition

Would be happy for any advise :)

Hello,

There is no way to define the storage class during the upload with stream manager. One option you do have is to use a lifecycle rule in the bucket to move the storage class for all items in the bucket, or items under a certain prefix. That would be my recommendation. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3/latest/userguide/object-lifecycle-mgmt.html

Cheers,
