Not able to get my root email verified when signing up

Hello AWS Community,

I would like to know why am I not able to receive verification code on the email when I'm trying to create new AWS account. This is not an account in organization, but a stand alone.

The email group is recently created using google workspace and it is configured to receive emails from external senders and I have verified it from 3 different emails. I have also checked spam but nothing.

Has anyone faced same issue before and is able to shed some light on the issue?
