ssh to all EC/2 instances hanging as of ~8:30AM Eastern Time

Running ssh -vvvv ends with:

debug2: we sent a publickey packet, wait for reply

And then nothing happens. This has been working for years and then suddenly stopped working this morning for all people in my company on all of our EC/2 instances.
