I am connecting to a websocket address, but I think the dns look up from aws is incorrect and outdated

I am connecting to a websocket through the non ip address, but it isn't connecting correctly. The service which I am connecting to says my method is correct and I have connected in this way before. I tried flushing the dns cache with no luck. Any suggestions?
