CFN stack stuck in DELETE_FAILED status. Failing to delete IAM Identity Center permission set

After building as stack based on this post I encountered an error that caused the stack to rollback but the rollback failed as one permission set was unable to be deleted. The stack will show that the resource failed to delete along with an occasional internal error. Retrying a delete only resulted in a DELETE_FAILED status. So far I have attempted the following:

• Deleting the stack and skipping the offending resource (both through the console and CLI)
• Manually deleting the resource and attempting to delete the CFN stack (console and CLI)
• Recreating the resource and attempting to delete the CFN stack (console and CLI)
• Waiting overnight and attempting the methods above again

Interestingly, when I attempt to delete the permission set via the CLI it is unable to be found but when searching the permission set ID in the console it shows that there is one match though the result never loads.

Any help would be much appreciated.
