Disk Event ID 153 in Windows EC2 Instance

Have you looked at the IO stats from CloudWatch to see if they are spiking at the time the issues happens?

You may need to adjust the number of IOPs allocated to your disk to avoid the issues. If you have IOPs set to an expected level and still getting this issue, make sure you have all the drivers update for your OS.
