it could be seen as a good news if it means that by 1.9 fbx will support skinned meshes.
Okay, it looks like we need to do some work on our end to make the chicken consumable by the public, so this is scheduled and we should be able to share it around 1.9. Sorry for the delay on this...

And done! The team was able to provide the Chicken FBX (skinned mesh) with two animations (bones only).
In the zip you will see several file. The suffix indicates the appropriate coordinate system of the chicken for each file.
For example, if you use chicken_YUp.fbx, the anim_chicken_idle0_YUp.fbx and the anim_chicken_flappingcrazy_YUp.fbx are the corresponding animations that can be used.
You should not mix the ZUp fbx files with the YUp fbx files.
The textures are included in the sourceimages folder.
It is also important to note that if you are using Maya, the fbx files can be imported and the Lumberyard Tools can be used to export from Maya. If you are using the fbx importer in Lumberyard 1.8, only the Zup fbx files can be imported.
Thank you @REDACTEDUSER
I observed and tried the files. They are working correctly. I figured out a couple stuff too.
Thanks for the effort.
Cheers;
