Can we use a Toll Free Number that was not purchased through AWS for SNS

Hi,

We own a few toll free number and would like to register them to use SNS with AWS. We do not want to port the number to AWS just to be able to use them to send SNS messages.

Is this possible?

A second question is can we register a number provisioned with AWS pinpoint with an external registration service?
