Direct Connect switching from 1G to 10G

What is the lag time to move from a 1G to 10G DX connection? Is there a downtime?

Upgrading an existing connection from 1G to 10G is [not possible](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/directconnect/latest/UserGuide/WorkingWithConnections.html). User will have to order/setup a new 10G connection and then [migrate ](https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/knowledge-center/migrate-virtual-interface-dx-lag/)their Vifs
> You cannot change the port speed after you create the connection request. To change the port speed, you must create and configure a new connection.
