aws s3: AWS Access Key Id you provided does not exist in our records

0

Hello,
When doing the following step:
$ aws s3 mb s3://<bucket-name> # Step 9
I am having the following error:
"make_bucket failed: s3://testing.f1.cl An error occurred (InvalidAccessKeyId) when calling the CreateBucket operation: The AWS Access Key Id you provided does not exist in our records."
I don't get what I am missing, the 'aws configure' went fine and I can see my Access Key ID and my Secret Access Key set correctly in us-east-1 region.
Any hint on what could be wrong in my settings?
Thanks

Hi Richard,

Please go to your ~/.aws/credentials file and compare the aws_access_key_id with the key id generated for your account.

If everything appears to be correct, please try regenerate a new set of keys.

Thanks,
Winefred

Ok, I just had to run again the 'aws configure' with the new keys...
As a note, my previous key was no longer in my aws account which could explain the error message.
Thanks

Hi Winefred,
Thanks for your quick reply, everthing appears to be correct, so I will try to regenerate a new set of keys but just to understand the consequences of new keys, does it mean I will have to recreate a new instance or should I be able to edit the keys in the settings if so could you guide me in the steps to do so (not yet familiar with the flow...)?
Thanks
