AWS CodeDeploy with Private Git Server

Question

I have multiple AWS accounts, one account has a private Git Server (in a private subnet) hosted where my development team commits code. We have CodeDeploy in another AWS account and would like to know if it is possible connect to the private Git Server to CodeDeploy.

Accepted Answer

CodeDeploy does not support a private Git server at this time, there are two options available.

1) Use CodePipeline to fetch the source, which can connect to GitHub Enterprise (private GitHub server). See this [CodePipeline documentation](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/codepipeline/latest/userguide/connections-ghes.html) for more information.

2) Use Git webhooks with AWS services. See this [reference quick start](https://aws.amazon.com/quickstart/architecture/git-to-s3-using-webhooks/) for more information.
