WooCommerce on Lightsale server

Hi,

we have a Lightsail instance with WordPress and WooCommerce (about 4000 products and 350 views/day). We would need to increase the sustainable zone because at the moment the site is slow or not accessible. How can we solve? With an upgrade of Lightsail plan (3,50$ plan actually) or with a migration on EC2 instance? Thanks for answers!

The $3.50 plan is extraordinarily underpowered for, IMO, just about any application.

I would suggest you snapshot your instance and create a new one with more cpu & memory from the snapshot.

You might also want to consider creating an 8gb disk to use as a swap partition. I did that and it helped my instances considerably. I blogged about it here: https://www.geekyramblings.net/2018/02/01/amazon-lightsail/#512mb-isnt-a-lot-of-memory

Thanks a lot for the answer David! I upgrade my lightsail plan (from 3,50 to 5 USD) and it seem works fine, for now. I'll try with the partition swap too.
